In July, we had our friend, Jacob, and his friend Winston, and Matt and his boyfriend, Sean, come to visit. Jacob and Matt are friends, so it was fun to have some overlap and all spend time together! Andrew's old childhood friend, Stuart, also came into town and I spent a day with him.

Jacob and Winston stopped by as a part of their summer Euro tour! I've known Jacob since high school, and Jacob and Kevin became friends at OU and in Pi Kapp. Jacob was also Kevin's most frequented visitor (apart from me) when he was living in Madison! We were no strangers to hosting Jacob and always have a fun time with him. They were a bit tired after a busy few weeks of traveling, but it equated in a super chill visit. Highlights include stooping a mid century modern two seater after tapas, playing beach volleyball, watching the Spain vs. Belgium World Cup match, and me and Jacob defeating Kevin and Winston in Spades.

Matt and I have been friends since our freshman year of college and spent time together as young adults in Oklahoma City! Matt and Sean were stopping by as an extension to a work trip (where Matt attended a gala at the Palace of Versailles?!) and we were happy to have a little OU/Pi Kapp reunion. We hosted everyone at our place for vermut and snacks, and went out for tapas at Cabo. During Matt and Sean's short visit, we also did a historic Old Town walk, and had tapas at SALT, the bar at the municipal pool atop Montjuïc where Dua Lipa and Kylie Minogue shot music videos. The views were amazing and we had great time catching up!

Stuart came to Barcelona for a wedding before heading to the mountains and later to Mallorca. He'd been in Barcelona years ago with Andrew during their study abroad, so this time, he wanted a day of local things. We ended up having coffee at D-Origen, walking up Passeig de Gracia, and then spent the afternoon in Graciá, exploring the small streets, having lunch at Morralet and visiting Casa Vicens!
